Seeding for Fall . . .

seedling flatsWith temps in the 90's we are not thinking about fall but to have some good plants for the garden and the greenhouse then it's time to get going.

Started seeds for brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage & cauliflower on the 15th using the Coleman soil blocks which worked well in the late winter and early spring.

This is also an example of recycling. The two trays the soil blocks are in were 'donated' by friends, the plant tags are from a white plastic milk container, the soil from the garden plus organic additives.

The wonders of nature surround us especially in the garden. Two cabbage seeds have already sprouted as of this afternoon.
