Jojoba Oil . . .

Jojoba Oil has a light to medium aroma which is absorbed well. Very stable, Jojoba is actually a wax with a long shelf life. As a natural anti-inflammatory, it is a good choice for use in massage and for inflamed skin. It is said that its composition is similar to that of the skin's natural sebum (oil). Jojoba is a good choice to use with those with oily or acne prone skin.

Jojoba oil (pronounced "ho-HO-bah") is the liquid wax produced in the seed of the jojoba Simmondsia chinensis) plant, a shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California and northwestern Mexico. The oil makes up approximately 50% of the jojoba seed by weight.

Oregano . . .

Species/Family: Lamiaceae
Scientific name: Origanum vulgare subsp. hirtum (O. heracleoticum)


Oregano is used for its antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. As a team oregano is used to relieve indigestion.

  • The essential oil of oregano is a potent germ killer. Jean Valnet, in his book, The Practice of Aromatherapy, described how oil of oregano superceded anti-inflammatory drugs in reversing pain and inflammation and is nearly as powerful as morphine as a painkiller. The oil also possesses significant antioxidant power. Furthermore, it stimulates the flow of bile, which greatly aids digestion.
