Chickweed . . .

Scientific name: Stellaria media


Seldom necessary to plant as chickweed self- seed themselves freely especially in dry weather. Used as an astringent and anti-rheumatic, heals wounds, eases arthritis and pains of the joints, cuts, inflammations and skin irritations. It may soothe severe itchiness and is often used to relieve eczema, varicose veins and nettle rash.

Rosemary . . .

With strong astringent qualities, Rosemary is used to tone skin and to aid in reducing puffiness and swelling. It is an antioxidant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-parasitic. Also found to benefit scalp problems and encourage hair growth.

Sage, as an astringent and antiseptic, is used to stop minor bleeding, to help form scar tissue, ease dermatitis and add shine to dull hair.
