Lamb stew in the making . . .

The weather is cooling, time for stew!

These herbs, marjoram, lemon balm, still growing well after the frost, and rosemary and bay leaves in the greenhouse will add a lift to the broth. Carrots, turnip and onions will cook in the broth. The potato will be prepared with one of the last fennel plants. Think I will try this recipe for Scalloped Potatoes & Fennel.
